I’m at a loss of ideas for a post so shamelessly picked this from M, here I list the top 5 favourite kannada movies not particularly in that order though. I guess I’ll repeat some, anyway..
1. Mungaru Male
2. Ganeshana Maduve
3. Beladingala Baale
4. Amruthavarshini
5. SP sangliana series
The sole reason they are in the list because I thoroughly enjoyed watching them. And can watch them over and again, many more times. Some more Ananth Nag movies can be added to the list.
Kannada Bloggers out there can pick this up and do it as a tag if they please.
Well, I know a bit of Kannada as I stayed in Bangalore for 3 years. I did not watch any Kannada movie but heard few of them in the FM. I like the song “Nee Amrithadhare” from “Amritadhaare”.
Me: Dude, there are many more beautiful kannada songs. I’m not talking about lyrics, the tunes are very nice and hummable. Go listen to Anisuthide and title track from Mungaru Male.
dude! tht’s no excuse.. i m sure there is something exciting happening outside ur window.. go look out!
Me: well, it’s only raining outside. And I guess something exciting is happening inside my mind. Will post when I get a clear picture
Well, Amruthavarshini is one of my favorite too. For its beautiful cinematography to be precise.
Just tumbled upon your blog through Manoj’s
Me: Welcome aboard. Yes, the cinematography, story and acting everything is aces in that movie.
Hello Ms. Movies!!! it’s a new day and I am hoping to read one of new posts… where are they ??? LOL!!
write something new na…
Me: It’s up baby
OMGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!
I dont like movies that way. It’s just that while watching them I dont get bored or yawn or mutter under my breath or turn homicidal. These are the movies which belong to the kind. And yes Ananth Nag has to be my FAV actor in Kannada.
You thought Mungaru maLe was better than Ganeshana Maduve?! :O
Ganeshana maduve would probably rank in my top-5-Movies-ever list! It was just superb!
Mungaru maLe though, revolutionary to kannada cinema wasn’t a “work of art!” It was NEVER critically acclaimed And except for the entertainment factor, music and cinematography… not too many good things in the movie. I infact liked gaalipata better.
And I’m sorry there is NO comparison between Ganesh and Ananth Nag as lead roles. The latter is eons better!
Amrithadhare, America America and Gowri Ganesha were good movies too.
Me: Niv, my baby, I have mentioned that my list is not in order
Oh I forgot to see that! Then it doesn’t seem like you like too many movies, I hope the plan for this weekens is still on!
Me: Yes yes plan is very much on! Just that we shud get tickets. So when r we booking tickets?
Really cool dude
